Breaking Down the VIP Program at Carbon Poker

VIP programs – also known as Rewards Programs – at online poker have become a standard feature of player promotions, but as with any promotion, the devil is in the details. In this article we’re going to break down the basics of the rewards program at one of the fastest-growing poker rooms online: Carbon Poker.

There are five tiers in the program: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water and Ether. Your current tier is determined by the amount of VIP points you earned the previous month; the more points, the higher the tier, and the higher the tier, the better the rewards. The VIP program replaces Carbon Poker rakeback for new players.

Earth requires 250 points as the lowest tier in the program. Players in this tier get a 6% cashback bonus on their rake paid, and can exchange 500 points for $3 in bonus cash. Exchanging points for cash does not impact your VIP standing – you just have to earn the points to qualify for a tier, not hold on to them. For complete details on what you can use VIP points for, refer to this Carbon Poker review.

Wind is for players who earn between 2,000 and 4,999 points. For your extra play, your cashback rate is set at 7.5% and you can exchange 1000 points for $7. Both the Earth and Wind tiers also cut your check fee to $15.

Fire is where rewards really start to kick in. Players who earn between 5,000 and 9,999 points will get a 10% cash back rate and be able to exchange 2000 points for $15 in cash – a real improvement over the initial rate Earth receives.

Getting over 10,000 but under 25,000 puts you in the Water tier. This gets you the highest cash back rate jump so far – 15% is the amount of daily rakeback you’ll get, your exchange ratio is $25 for 2500 points and checks are only $5.

Finally, players who earn over 25,000 points are at Ether – the top tier in the program. A whopping 35% cash back rate awaits, as do free checks and a $60 bonus for every 5000 points exchanged. Checks are free and you’ll enjoy additional bonuses like a dedicated VIP host.
