Ugh. Tough spot. Sandwiched and early in the tourny. Seems like a lot to just call, especially not knowing what the player will do behind us. Raising seems like we might get rid of the player behind us and secure position in the hand. But what happens if villain reraises us? Do we consider stacking off this early with no reads with a pair of Queens. We’re dominated if going against AA,KK, and pretty much flippin against AK. I’d really hate to just call here and see an Ace or King show up on the flop. I really hate this spot. I feel like if I fold here its way, way too tight. But if I stay in it could be really rough waters ahead…

call the 360 fold if the flatter reraises behind
process aggresively on a non AK flop

Without a read on V, I’d rather just flat and play post flop rather than getting committed to such a big pot this early. If D raises behind, I’ll let it go rather than getting involved with such a big pot this early.
Also need a plan for the flop here… basically, I’m planning to be aggressive on any board with all unders and playing pretty cautiously if the flop is well coordinated or has overs. In the face of heavy resistance, I’ll probably let it go and look for a better spot.

The argument could be made for one of 3 paths:
1. Fold. You have 60 invested, and you’re OOP. You’re playing for more than 10% of your stack. It’s early and there’s no sense in gambling here when you’ve committed far too much on a hand that likely is flipping and/or dominated. I voted fold.
2. Call and push all non- Ace, non- King flops. I like this solution least.
3. 4bet all in. It’s early and if you want to get involved in a flip to go home or double up this early on, go for it. A double up at this early stage in the tourney is not impactful, therefore I voted fold.

im “raising small”, with the intention of dragging him deeper into this pot. we have the goods, and unless he found one of the 2 hands that beats us, im more than willing to get it in here. also, i want the player behind to get out of this pot. a shove is way too big a move, and only gets called by aa/kk or maybe a/k playing loose, but a nice raise to 850 or so might entice a/q or pp’s smaller than ours to stick around. lets say hes got 10′s and unders come, maybe we stack him….or maybe he folds on the flop, but at least we got 850 out of him. depending on his action, an ace or king on the flop scares me, but ill play it based on the action. if he calls my raise pre and checks flop, i bet regardless of board. if an ace comes and he leads, i might fold, but i might shove. gut instinct.

I don’t like the idea of a player behind so would vote to raise small (2.5x). Our image and play thus far have landed us with a hand under-valued by the opponent(s).
We have no read on the opponent so RAI may eliminate the chance to pick-up extra value. i.e. a very good player may fold something like 99, but call small.
Calling allows the 3rd player a chance to tag along, thus we’ll play the flop oop.
Folding is weak imo, given that only 2 hands are ahead, and only ~1/3 chance an over will hit the flop.

This is a hell of a 3bet by the villain which really smells like he wants the hand to end right here. It feels much more like 88-JJ or a decent ace (or even a squeeze with a much weaker hand) than AA/KK.
I am with the small raise contingent here, with the hope that it will induce a shove from the SB. Almost all of the time we are folding out the flatter and I think given our image we’ve got a very good chance of getting it all in against a much weaker hand.
The great thing about having an aggressive image is that you get paid off when you have a monster because no-one gives you credit for a hand. Therefore, folding here is absolutely ludicrous. We’ve got the third best starting hand possible and induced exactly the action we were hoping for. Our sole mission now in this spot should be to extract value. If we do run into AA or KK, so be it, but I really don’t think that’s what is going on.
I think CityBorn has pretty much hit the nail on the head with how we should proceed. Get rid of the flatter but reel in the aggressor. I am happy to get it all in here pre-flop if he comes back over the top.
