Don’t think I can call a cr here so I check behind. If they were on a flush draw we gave them odds to call. Although they would prob bet out if they did.

Think they would struggle to lay down any K on this paired board with a J, and our Q would play… so I can see some value in betting (especially as also think they would probably bet if they were drawing to the flush)

Voted to bet under half the pot, but I’m not in love with the idea and wouldn’t really care to see V raise.
Like previous comments imply, V probably leads out if they just hit a flush. I’m more worried about something like AK or KJ, but that’s a small enough part of V’s range that I’ve got to take the chance and get another bet in.

I’m not sure, but I think the “calls quickly on the turn” implies that V is NOT on the draw because most players realize that 22/67 is not good enough money for a “pure” (9 out) flush draw or OES draw (8 outs).
I believe, however, that the lack of a 3 bet before the flop makes it less likely for V to have AK.
Two standard river arguments you see:
1. Check behind because you will get called and raised by hands that beat you and worse hands will fold.
2. Bet the river more often than not when you are in position and opponent checks for value.
I think it is extremely likely that you are V have the exact same hand. I could also see QQ, QJ, JT or even some strange like J5s that just got counterfeited. I think AK is less likely but I could see a combo draw with mid pair hand like JTh or QTh.
I personally save a lot of money by checking this type of hand in cash games but I play weaker games with people who turn over J2h here and feel oh so proud of themselves. In a game with better players I would probably bet for value and curse myself when I got raised.

These spots are one of those in which I have to improve.
I don’t see many hands that we beat and which would call a bet. KT, QJ, AJ probably can call here with the idea that the second 3 couldn’t help our hand in any way. I can see a missed straight draw out there, but that should’ve tried to rep the flush or will give up to the smallest bet anyway.
V couldn’t really have a hand that beats us on the other hand: AK and better should’ve raise at any point so far, a boat should’ve bet the river. A rivered flush is a possibility, esp. if it’s a low one: we’ve shown a lot of strength, the board paired – I might opt for a c/c line myself, but at least a blocking bet is still better for V in this case.
Probably betting small hoping that V is a fish is slightly better. A big bet could chase out anything we beat. I do not really fear of a c/r, but if it happens it’s a snapfold obv.

I’ll check. With a read on the v, I might have made a value bet. Normally I give credit in these situations.
What hands that we beat would be calling a value bet? Perhaps a weaker K or AJ may. Hero’s image is TAG, so may get a fold on a value bet anyway. Again, w/o a read on the v I’d play cautiously and eliminate as much risk as possible.
Additionally, a CR bluff w/something like Q10 will get us off the winner. Our line has been strong, so it is reasonable to think the v would CR a winner like KJ or a flush. I think a set would raise for hero’s stack on the flop.

obvious check…. we lose to too many hands and the player is unknown…
We lose to any two hearts, any three, King Jack, etc….

What 3 was calling pre and post flop? I have trouble buying that V just made trip 3s.
If the last card helped, it’s because it made a flush or boat – which would both be potentially leaving money on the table if they check the river.

Guess I have to go against the prevailing grain here – I bet this river for value (about $35) and expect to get called a fair number of times.
What are those many hands that we lose to? Flushes, of course, but those would probably lead out. KJ would certainly CR the flop (or, failing that for some bizarre reason, pot the turn once the third heart falls). KK and JJ don’t seem very likely hands to have flatted our initial bet. AK might flat, but then again, check-calling top pair top kicker OOP with a wet board for both flop and turn doesn’t seem very likely.

im checking behind. it may be a little timid here as this could def be a value bet spot, but with the unknown opp and the flush getting there, id rather just let this one go and see what my man is up to. next time ill have a better idea of whether hes calling light, drawing, how he plays etc…
if i bet and he raises, ill have to pitch it, which would make me mad i didnt check behind. again, its the unknown opp. i need more of a read on him, so ill take that as river payment enough.

I bet about half pot, they are more likely sitting with weak king, AK is out of the question, KJ raises the flop because of the flush draw, flush leads out on the river, and even if he has a flush (unlikely) he will likely not reraise even withthe nut flush because of the paired board. All in all, I want to make a little more money here, and I think I can
