Game type: Super Tuesday, 1k, PokerStars
Stage of tourney: Early
Your image: Tight
Opponent’s image: No read
Your hand: K♣K♦
The setup: You’ve been playing pretty tight in the early stages of the Super Tuesday when the following hand comes up. You get KK in EP and decide to limp, as the table has been pretty aggressive. You’re disappointed by folds behind; the SB completes and the BB checks. The flop seems safe enough:
3♠2♣9♠
The SB checks, the BB bets 100 and you raise to 350. The SB folds and the BB thinks for a bit before moving all in. What’s your play?

Voted call. You need 39% equity for this to be 0 EV, here’s a range we’re 39% against: { 33-22, AsJs, AsTs, Ac9c, Ad9d, Ah9h, As8s, As7s, As6s, As5s, As4s, As2s, 93s-92s, 32s, A9o, 93o-92o, 32o }.
I think this is a pretty good estimation of the tightest possible range for our opponent, so if we put him on that it’s just meh.
If we throw in some more flush draws and throw in some hands he’ll turn into a bluff, it’s a sure call. I think our tight image might lead him to do that so I say call.

If I limp KK, then it’s with the possibility to put it down in an unraised pot.
Yes a lot of times this is a draw and I’m folding the best hand, but this is early and it’s pretty much my tournament. Tournament life and well over 20M left means this should be a fold.
I would not limp this early, but can understand it. Whether I would be able to fold for real is a different matter.

Voted call. I think the hero raise may be perceived as 2 spades, a non-made hand. The tight image is also a factor in being tested Limped pot, so villain range is quite wide. Raising may be with over-pair, 2-pair, set, overcards, or draws. I don’t think a set is going this heavy, and imo overcards can be ruled-out in this spot. Hero is ahead of draws and except for AA, is doing well against the other pairs. Hero behind against 2-pair, but has outs. Hero is 3rd lowest stack at table … take a shot to move-up.

Voted call. I would call in this position as many times BB would make same move when on a draw…may have 45….A4…..A5…A9…or of course flush draw(most of the time.)There is of course the possibility of BB holding 93…92… 32….22 or 33…(not likely they held 99 or higher pair) those being the only 5 hands they could possibly have to be ahead of you at this point…so yes….definitely call!
