While you have a slight chip advantage, that doesn’t mean you can pass up spots to give yourself a better cushion. It would be better if the BB had a few more chips, as they’d likely play even tighter, but even as it stands I’d wager you’re getting called by very few hands here, and the chance to add 2800 to your shrinking stack in a turbo is one that can’t be missed.
What actually happened: You shoved and the BB folded.

We are almost the shortest stack and the pot is over half our stack. Easy shove with any two cards.

This is a rare spot where I can see a case for all 3 options. I voted fold, but could easily see a shove. I decided to wait a bit as the BB could easily put us on atc and if he has something decent make the call. I can also see calling 800 into a 3600 pot and seeing what happens.

Clear shove. You have an M of 2, and BB would have to call off nearly his entire stack. This is also a great chance to recoup your small blind. You must take advantage of situations like this if you have any chance of battling back.

voted fold but in retrospect could also shove. Depends whether I could see one of my fellow shorties getting involved (and potentially busted out) before I’m blinded out.
[Reply]
Voted fold, but did not account for the 2 largest stacks to be in the blinds next 1-2 hands. One of them will likely call your shove, so move now.

IMO this is borderline. You have 1 more player to wait out, and the player behind you will BB again before you. I’d expect him to have to go all-in in the next few hands, hopefully against a bigger stack.

We have to shove…do you really think the guys in the blinds after this will fold to our shove…even if we catch a good hand we’re still getting called with potential of getting booted out of this tourney…however in this spot very unlikely BB calls without a quite strong hand…this is his whole tourney too if he calls.

You’ve only got one more orbit left with the blind + ante raise.
If there was 2 orbits i’d say just keep folding everything and hope that someone else goes out before you, but with only 1 i think you need to shove here and hope for a fold

It’s a clear shove. we’re only really a big underdog against an over pair. there’s 45 ways of being delt an overpair (42 larger than 7 + 3 ways of being delt 77) but there’s more than 400 ways of being delt two random cards larger than 76 where most are unplayable for opp and if he plays we’re a 5-3 underdog and getting all the pot odds (and then some) we need.
The chance that opp has an overpair is a chance we need to take with an M of 2 espcially when we’re on the bubble.

Would have to say shove is the only option. Players will be playing tight at this stage and you can’t really afford to give up your blinds when your this short stacked. If your unfortunate enough to be up against a big pair then so be it can’t really do much else, plus we have outs.

I voted raise, but I don’t know if I’d shove. If I raise and the BB pushes all in, I could still fold and have a little left. Since I’ve got the button next with just antes to pay for the next orbit, I would hope to hold out until that last person drops or I landed a monster hand with my last remaining $1000 or so and push all in. It would send a message to anyone around the table that if I push, I’ve got something so you might as well fold to me.
