First off, I am playing this as the best hand regardless of the action. It’s unfortunate that you’re playing the hand with the one stack that covers you, but if the flopped a straight, then so be it. AA and KK both feel very unlikely given the preflop action.
The calls on the flop are probably indicative of either two pair hands or pair draw hands – think KJ, JT, QJ, KQ, AT and the like. That means you don’t want to see a Q or T on the river, as someone will make a straight. However, it also means that they’re probably all stealing outs from as other as well, significantly decreasing the chance of a bad river.
I think that, combined with the fact that betting again, on this board, into this many players, looks so incredibly strong, is a decent argument for a check or for a very small bet. Personally, I like checking – best case, you’ll set off a competition for a pretty large pot behind you; worst case you’ll be able to extract some additional value out of your opponents on safe rivers, which you can expect probably 85-95% of the time.
What actually happened: You bet 3100 and everyone folded.

I agree with the staff’s range of calling hands; however, I’m rather interested in taking it down now — I figure I’ve got the best hand and am not a) letting it check around or b) betting small enough to let someone call with a pair and a draw (esp. the stack that has me covered). It’s a nice pot, give it to me now or pay to catch your 4- to 8-outer.
Bet AT LEAST 4500, probably up to pot-sized is okay.

With three callers around I’m going to push the action. I shove.

I voted bet up to half as I agree with staff’s assessment and would figure to get at least one caller from the looser of the drawing hands.
But then again this is a perfect opportunity to try to represent weakness after a cbet and 3 callers. But for me the danger of giving a free card to a straight or to an accidental flush would be a disaster and since the pot is already large enough I don’t mind winning without a showdown.

Ok so there are 40 cards left in the deck, 10 good cards for us making a boat/ quads and 13 bad cards (8 for straight and 5 flush cards) but you could discount a good few of these in opponents hole so let’s call it even. That means that there with the blanks there are three to one cards in our favour. The reward from checking is the potential battle behind us on the turn that we can shove over. But would this be greater than another half pot bet by us called by say two opps on turn and a quarter pot bet called on a blanked river? Personally the current pot is plenty big enough for me not to get tricky. I voted bet over half pot to take it down / deny the correct odds from a sucession of callers.

Pot is substantial, and would not expect hands like AA, KK
so in my opinion, the hands that would out draw me would be any hand with a Q or 10,
Instead of bidding the appropriate odds to get someone to call, id prefer to end the pot here, and if you get a call, youll most likely be paid off.
Also if you get called by a better hand, you still have a chance that the board will pair and give you a full house.
I would bid between half pot (3:1 odds) and full pot

what i wanna know is what the 3 ppl are calling the flop bet with. Id have to have a guess at an ace rag, a KQ and maybr another ace rag. Im defo betting this for value, a slowly played AK will probably get it all in now…just hope no1 has Q 10

I would base the decision on how many chips I need to have a good position in the tourney. The pot is already at 7200 and winning this pot will make me the table leader. The only worry is BB with QT but in this case I still am not drawing dead. I am making a sizable bet of at least 5k and will be happy to win outright or get another call.

Agree with most of you.
Betting half of the pot or more is the best thing to do.

Im with the majority as well. Im almost sure to have the best hand and the pot is plenty big enough that Id be happy to take it down here. If theyd like to pay more then proper odds would dictate, theyre welcome to pay to draw. But Im chargin’. Half pot or more….Id probably go about 6k.

Definitely can’t allow a cheap/free card here. Bet between 3/4 pot and just over the pot, somewhere around 5,000-5,550 feels right to me. I don’t think we’re beat yet, but I would throw up if I checked it and saw a Q or T hit the river. Pot is a very nice size, bet big to take it down now or to get a bad call.

I voted with the majority. Hero can chip-up ~50% by taking the pot down here. Bet at least $5K. Believe other callers thought we were making a c-bet, coupled with playing oop. Based on hero’s image they’ll likely fold to a sizable turn bet now. Q10 holding seems very unlikely.

with 3 callers… doesnt someone have the nuts… why not check to boat up? someone do the math for me there on how often someone will have the nuts there with 3 callers

i voted bet upto half pot for value to try and get one caller at least, but i think i prefer a larger bet having read the other comments, – don’t want to give favourable odds on such a wet board. Whether you bet big or small, if you get a flat call and a Q or T comes on river its pretty sick
