Dicey draw facing short stack all in

Game type: 1k freezeout on FTP
Stage of tourney: Mid stage
Your image: Solid
Opponent’s image: A little weak
Your hand: K♥Q♥
The setup: You’re in the middle stages of the weekly 1k freezeout on FTP when the following hand comes up. You get KQh in middle position, and you raise to a little under 3x when the table folds to you. The player to your left calls, and the rest of the table folds. You flop a small piece:
J♥9♣J♠
You bet 740 into a bit under 110 and your opponent, who has been playing fairly weakly, shoves rather quickly.
What’s your play?

I raise preflop, bet the flop and get raised. I must be way behind. I fold. By the way I think the continuation bet was too high. If he didn’t connect a smaller bet would have worked and if he connected we could save some chips.

Easy fold. You got called pre-flop, and your weak opponent reraised all in on that board. If he DIDN’T have AJ, I would be shocked. You’re drawing to a gutshot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw. Four outs for the straight, 1.5 outs for the flush. 5.5 outs, which means you need close to 7-1 pot odds to call. You aren’t getting even close to that; fold, and move on.

Fold. You got nothin, and he obviously has something. Even if doesnt have the jack, hes got you crushed with a-k or a-q, big pair, blah blah blah, you name it. Dont waste the chips. It wont even hurt your image, its a common play with a big hand that doesnt connect…you c-bet, read the situation, let it go. Everyone knows what happened and wont change anything in future hands.

I love these quizzes, but I am surprised at the staff analysis. Why is your opponent holding a jack tough to imagine? Seemed clear to me that s/he had ace jack, and you’ve got exactly nothing. Fold that puppy and move the hell on.

I would take a mean look at my opponent, and then give hima good punch in the mouth. I could then pretend he cheated or something.

Kinda gross. You’re looking at calling 1600 to win about 4200, so you’re getting about 2.6-1 to call. If all of your outs are good, that’s more than enough to call, and you have the chips to spare.
Are all of your outs good? On balance, probably not. It’s a little tough to see opponent with a J here, but they could have been slowplaying an overpair and now are panicking a bit. A hand like TT or a smaller pair also makes some sense, and they could be bluffing with the best hand sometimes with AK or AQ. Let’s aggregate and say that you have, on average, 7 good outs here. That makes this neutral EV, more or less.
You have the table covered, and it’s not a massive hit to your image to fold here. On the other hand, moving chips to your left is never fun, and giving a weak player the idea that they can push you off of a hand is suboptimal as well. If you do call, you can expect to not get bluffed by shorter stacks on the flop for quite some time.
If your opponent was more aggressive, I’d lean toward calling, as they might be in there with air every now and again. With this opponent, I reluctantly fold and move on to the next hand.
What actually happened: You called and your opponent showed AJ. You failed to improve and lost the pot.
