It’s safe to say the SB has a pretty broad range. Your preflop raise looks like it’s an attempt to isolate the poster, so they’ll be three betting pretty wide - I’d say top 20% or so, if not higher. The flop is pretty ragged, so they’re likely to continue with a pretty broad range - let’s say top 15%. Against that range you’re a massive 90-10 favorite on this board.

Even if we cut his cbet range to include only 88+, AJs+, AKo and all the broadway combos that contain a Jack, you’re still 85-15.

With that kind of edge, position, a safe board and a decent amount of money still behind, I think you have to just flat here.

Easy flat call. Hes out of position, and his 2/3 pot bet on the turn will be a MUCH bigger payoff then the current pot. Why scare him off now? Id raise the turn though, since its almost impossible at that point that there wont be a draw to worry about. No need to let him go all the way to the river for free with just one pair, but at least get the next big bet in there, then let him see if he wants to pay even more to finish it.

I leaned more to a min raise, with the hope of a big reraise to push me off small pair, then I shove.

im in with a heavy raise.. sounds dumb but from the situation described i need to improve my table image and this is a great opportunity. if he calls thats great if he folds i’m not showing and using the experience on the table to semi bluff later.

Lame question. About the worst thing to do here is shove and move him off the pot. I’d prefer to call and see if he tries something foolish at the turn and shove his raise or value bet his check. But I can see some benefit in min raising.

Give him some rope and let him hang himself with it. The turn will likely give him nothing for me to worry about, so let him lead me to the river where I take his chips.

I like Mobilbob’s min raise idea. Builds pot and villain is likely to call.

Careful not to slowplay AA too much. I’ve seen it lose to hands like JT and Q9 and 76 when they make 2 pair or a straight so many times, it’s sickening.

Absolutely no reason to slow play pre or post flop.

Firstly i like the flat call pf as 4 bet defines your hand too much for your opponent even if you appear a bit steaming. On this dry flop i don’t like the raise option as at this point you don’t know where your opponent is at: he could be on air, hit his jack or value betting a very unlikely but possible set. Most of the time you are still a big favourite and a dry board for me means just call and see how much more money if any he wants to put in on the turn. If he checks i will obviously bet but would people really raise a second barrel bet with just a pair? If he fires again I’m just calling this one down. I can’t see raising after the flop being +ev as a bluff or weak hand will fold and better than a pair will call. But by just calling on the flop (and pre flop) you may get hands like aj or kj to do the value betting for you and that for me has more +ev than taking it down on earlier streets.

I think preflop play was correct and flat calling is what you want to do on the flop. You cant be scared of being drawn out on with this kind of dry board, you need to try to make more money with this kind of hand and situation. If you are ahead, he only has a few outs, so let him hang himself. If you raise and call a reraise preflop, then raise on the flop, it will unnecessarily define your hand. Calling on flop may make him think you have a pair like 99 or TT. Since it is said that the dude likes to squeeze preflop and cbet, no need to move him of air and no need to push him off a possible pair of jacks either.

If you run into jq, 10j, or something similar and he hits trips or 2 pair, you’re already frustrated with him so tilt is pending. The post-flop shove was good.

AA on this board with his stack size is utter monster and you’re in position. Heaven =)

And for the peeps who are against slowplaying here, well as it’s already been pointed out you’re dumb. Slowplaying is for when you have a monster and you’re up against and aggro opponent i.e. like right now

If he villain got top pair we’re getting his stack anyway so we’re not worried about those.
A small/min-reraise might induce a bluff shove some of the time but certainly not all that often.
I think flat calling is the most +EV here b/c if the turn comes Q+ he is going to double barrel 99% of the time with his full range and if he hits a pair on the turn with a SC or KT,KQ,T9,… he might go broke with while he wouldn’t on the flop
