Average hand on blind, short stacked in a multi-way pot, Turbo MTT SNG

Game type: 45 Man MTT SNG, Turbo, $60
Stage of tourney: Middle, 31/45 remain
Avg stack: ~2k
Your image: You lost a big pot with AK a few hands ago
Your hand: T♠7♠
The setup: You’ve been pretty quiet in this turbo SNG. You really only played one hand - you re-raised from the BB with AK, got called by 88 and lost the race. That put you down to 40 chips, but you’ve built your way back up a little.
The blinds just went up to 50/100. UTG folds, UTG+1 limps, two folds, another limp and then the CO raises to 800. The button folds and the SB re-raises all in.
It’s your action. What’s your play?

I agree. Usually in similar situations, I would go all in but there is too much action beforehand here.

“You really only played one hand … That put you down to 40 chips, but you’ve built your way back up a little.”
How is that possible with one hand played?

Assuming heros has 380 left AFTER posting BB, I fold here. Otherwise I migth call.
Basicly we have a pretty crappy hand, and if we call multiway we would have to assume that the odds were proper.
Say there were antes, it was folded around to the button who is aggressive and raised to 3BB, whereafter and agressive SB pushes for 15BB total. In that spot I migth just call, as I am likely to play two live cards against one opponent, getting two to one on my chips.
But this is a very different spot. A player makes a very strong bet from mid position, and the SB pushed over the top with no fold equity what so ever. The only way you have two live cards is if the have Ak/AQ both. I actually think SB i a total donk to shove 88 there, with no FE what so ever. I put him on JJ+ or the like.
So basicly, the pot will probably be 3-ways, perhaps 4-ways, and we will not have two life cards, probably none. Rather be first in, though out FE with 4BB stack is doubvious.

There is also some chance that this will end up being a 5-way pot, which is giving slightly better EV than the 4-way pot. So calling and playing the lottery isn’t all that bad.
Otherwise you will be looking for heads up coinflips and will need to win two in a row to get back in it.

Fold and pick your spot on the next orbit.

he has 3bbs…i understand how you’ve worked out the %s…I dun think you realise if u fold and look for a better spot you’re likely getting called by more than 1 person anyway..and you’re also probably not going to see a premium hand within the orbit…so you’re likely getting it in with a weak ace, which will once again, more than likely be dominated….not to mention this is a turbo tournament which means if u dont move in soon, you’re looking at 2bbs….id call here and gamble

31 people remaining… we need a miracle to have even a chance to be in competition for the money. Having a premium hand which get called and hold up and then another also get called and also hold up is not seems much likely… So in any case I’ll face with a push-and-prey situation.

If you call and this ends up being a 4-way pot, you’re getting about 4.3-1 on your call. If you call and it ends up being a 3-way pot, you get 3.3-1.
In a 4-way pot, it seems safe to assume everyone’s ranges are 88+, AQ+ (they’re probably a little narrower, but to simplify things we’ll leave them there). You have about 17% equity vs three opponents with that range, which is just about what you need to call. In a 3-way pot, you’re looking at about 22% equity, which is a short of what you need to call at 3.3 - 1.
UTG+1 would have to be super-strong to call. You’re short, but not short enough to make this call. The SB hits you next hand, but then you have a full orbit to wait for a stronger hand. I vote fold.
What actually happened: You called and UTG+1 also called. The other limper folded and the original raiser called. The flop came 2 4 9 rainbow and UTG+1 led for 500. The CO folded. UTG+1 showed JJ and the SB showed 88. Jacks held up.
