Hard, but 97o or worse would force me to fold if i’d like to play on +EV. Checked with pokerstove, 98s is a coinflip against ATC… counting with the fact he is about 80% of the time atc, but 20% he will have something, it is still -EV.
But it is a turney, and i think on the later hands it is good to show you are not affraid to call a shortie allin with atc from bb.

I insta-call K high here.
OK, so villain has folded in a spot like this at some point, but that doesnt mean that his hand is strong. If he is superstitious like me, he folds 7 2 o and the like here, but he is probably pushing minimum 50% of hands in that spot.
Given this, you are in front quite often, and you have potodds most of the time. Furthermore you can easily afford the call stackwise.
Assuming villain is pushing a somewhat wide range I would call something like any A or K, Q 8+, J9+, any pair.

I subscribe to Harrington’s thinking here. If the shove is 10% or less than my stack, it’s ATCs time. The risk to my standing is minimal, and the benefits are temendous.

I go with Tipps on this one. I’d feel pretty much obligated to call here with anything. Maybe I’d fold bottom 10% of holdings, if, going into the play i looked at my hole cards and saw a nearly surefire double-up.

I called, but to me, the question was not whether it would hurt my stack if I lose, but whether it would bring the shortstack back to life if I call and lose. The last thing I want to do is help a guy who’s on the brink to double up and get back in it. Figuring his range, its decently wide….he gave a walk before, but so what, he cant keep doing that, meaning hes got to push or get blinded off. Yet he’s patient, so Im figuring hes probably got something decent. Im not calling with atc, or even top 50 %, drhoho laid out a reasonable range Id call with to at least feel like Im not a surefire dog.

Easy call. I’m actually quite amazed that quite a few people voted fold here.
You already have 60k in (the BB), so it’s (essentially) 300k to call. You only need to have 40% equity to make calling +EV chips. Even with a fairly conservative villain pushing range (I thought top 50% hands), you are doing fine against many hands. You are only really hurt by 77+ and cases where your K is dominated. For many hands in the range (A6-, 66-, Qx-) you’re doing just fine.

gotta call. You’re still in great shape if you lose, but you have a decent chance to knock someone out and move up the ladder. Also, despite the fact he’s been nursing his short stack, he still knows this is a prime opportunity to pull this move, so his range is very large here. You likely have 2 live cards or are ahead.

U cant fold lol…so easy to call with K7.
Hands like 97o under u could decide to fold..but this is auto with K7

call. gg.

I fold. Why does everyone think it’s their responsibility to take out another player even if they are taking too much of a risk to do so? Sure, if you have the cards, go for it. But you’re probably in a coin flip here. Lose and the villain has $800K, enough to last a few orbits and push again, i.e. dangerous. Let him take the $100K and he will still be desperate.

Fold
If he’s just blind stealing then why would he risk everything? Raising to 180k looks way more menacing everyone knows he’s gonna stick the rest in on the flop no matter what – 180 says I want you to call.
If he has a crap hand why do it this turn? could easily just fold and wait till next turn for better cards.
On the other hand if he has an ace then he wants you to call
[Reply]
Who cares about taking them out ? When I’m a big stack I want them to stay in so I can keep winning chips for the big showdowns later. Insta call here cos its good odds and you can afford to and (even if you lose)to show you will. You don’t want them lowering their standards do you.

He’s shoving with a bunch of hands here. I play top 50%, Q6s+
No reason to fold, unless you have a read on this guy that he is utterly retarded and won’t raise with top 80% of hands here. He folds 83o, but not much else.
