Misc notes:
Your hand: T♣T♥
This hand quiz courtesy of HighStakesReport.com
This hand is taken from actual game play at the 100/200 blind No Limit game at Full Tilt. You are standing in for Full Tilt pro Gus Hansen.
The setup: You have been playing a fairly wild 3 handed session with two well known high limit internet pros. You’re happy to see tens in the big blind, and then all hell breaks loose in front of you. The button makes a slightly larger than standard raise to $1400 and then the SB follows up with a raise to $5100.
You have been playing very aggressively. This combination – a raise from the button followed by a re-raise from the SB – has happened more than a few times in this session. How do you play your tens?

I voted – fold – it’s easy to now to say “look, I was right” after looking at AA and KK, but when 2 guys start hammering on each other this short handed – sometimes I just get out of the way no matter what I’m holding. Maybe one knocks the other out and I move up a spot.
If you don’t want to fold, then I like the re-raise all in – I would rather take the pot now than play against AK AQ KQ and have face cards hit the flop and crush my 10s

Being neither Gus Hansen or a regular cash game player, I voted fold without any hesitation, despite the fact that this situation already occured. (Actually, we don’t know what were the hands in these situations)
With two raisers, I would really believe that at least one of them is ahead. I would also have folded JJ, but I really don’t what I would have done with QQ.

I agree completely with the DHQ analysis, that’s scary. I was thinking call, except the stack is short so you’re going to be committed pretty much anyway, might as well take the advantages of raising all in now.

Tough thing playing three handed, people will raise anything and hence reraise with a big range of hands.
I will have to play threehanded in a tournament this weekend, and it freaks me out.
If it was full ring, it would be an easy laydown, and even QQ would be foldable here.
I voted fold here too. If I am not behind, I am probably not in significantly in front either. Rather than Ace rag the reraiser seems more likely to have two overcards. As the button is the to reraise, it is too much to pay for a chance of flopping a set.
Rather play some worse hands at a better time.
But of course, I am a small time tournament fish.

Fold, Fold a thousand times FOLD!
Pocket tens is a monster hand with only three people, but you’ve been raised and RE-raised. At the very least you’re looking at overcards for a race. I might play if I was the chipleader, but even then I’d consider folding before calling.

I called here I want to at least see the flop. An all in is a little reckless and not needed at this point and 2 raises for sure not going to go all in. Call and see the flop and take it from there. You cant bitch out for another 5k to call on the blind.

If I’m Gus Hansen, I’m all-in.
I see that I made the same move as he, and I was killed.
How come when I get to be the pro I get killed and when you make me play Phil Ivey I get killed too? It’s not right!

Fold is the play here, having been aggressive lately – a raise probably isn’t going to get the respect it deserves and will be called by at least one of the other players. Calling opens yourself up to being re-raised or having to navigate a flop that might have overcards. (Although easier to get away from if you don’t hit)Tens aren’t strong enough to go all-in after 2 raises – wait for a better spot.

ITS GUS HANSEN, THERE ARE NO OTHER WAY TO DO THIS, BUT PUSH IT ALL IN !!!
[Reply]
Yeah Fold is a easy move, once you’ve seen the hand! But cmon. Given the table flow, it is probably +EV pushing here. They are most likely mucking junk, any small pair, AQ maybe Ak or at least you are a fliping if you get a call. There are only two hands I am worried about AA, KK, they may muck JJ or QQ but if the put me on AK then Im scared of 4 hands. Basically they will muck 22-99, any Ax except AK, any two high cards KQ, KJ ect…. calling w/ QQ – AA. This move will probably make money in the long run

People are looking at the results.
At high stakes games players are very aggressive pre flop. 3 bets occur frequently and this is a definite hand to 4 bet.
This looks like an all-in raise here.
