Game type: No Limit shorthanded
Your image: Loose and aggressive
Misc notes:
Your hand: K♠J♥
The setup: You limped preflop with your off suit big cards, the button called and the BB checked. The flop had some potential for your hand:
Q♦A♠6♠
You checked, and the button bet $6. The BB folded and you decided to call, planning to bluff at the turn or river if a scare card hit. Then, you turned the absolute nuts when a T♦ hit.
You are first to act. Now that you’ve hit your miracle, what’s your play?

I like the CR. Checking makes it look like you’re on the flush draw.

I like the check raise, and I want to bet an amount that is going to make him call with a pair / draw. I think you’re basically trying to build a big pot here and then hope that you’re still best on the river. At that point, the pot will be big enough that your opp. might start to really consider a bad call with a single pair or low two pair.

I’m begging for him to raise me. Its unlikely that I called his bet on the flop with a gutshot, so I anticipate getting action. I’m by no means afraid of a 3rd diamond coming on the riv.

I don’t believe he limped with an A on the button so I wouldn’t put him on anything better than middle pair. With that said, I don’t like the cheack-raise because I think I’d lose him.

I say you have to bet in there. You have the lead but the other player can have so many draws to a hand that beats you and for that reason you cannot give them a free card… If they wanna draw to their flush or boat let’em pay the wrong price to do so and bet …

I voted check-raise, but reocnsidering, showing weakness might also be a good play here.
For this specific problem though, I’d also like to have my opponent’s table image. Ifthe is TAG, a weak bet might be the better play, otherwise a check raise might be the better play.
