Game type: No limit rebuy tournament
Your image: You recently doubled up by betting a draw aggressively and getting there on the river
Stage of tourney: Rebuy period closed, about 2/3rds of original field remains
Avg stack: About 8k
Misc notes:
Your hand: A♦Q♣
The setup: Four players limp and then the small blind, who is a relatively short stack, raises to 6x the blinds. How do you handle AQ facing this raise with 4 players still to act behind you?
As an additional question to answer in your comments, what if you were holding 7♣7♠ instead of A♦Q♣?

I just move all in. I want the hand to play as straightforward as possible, and my recent win from betting the draw might give one of the big stacks and idea about playing back at me with a marginal hand.

I make a substantial raise here, or move all in. I’m not excited about the big stack of the early limper. But I think I’m ahead, and want to play the short stack for the juiced pot.
I muck 77.

The only time anyone will call an All-In here is if you’re dominated or in a coin flip, and at this stage of the tourney I’m not risking my entire stack on a hand like AQ with this many players calling pre-flop. I’d like to leave some room for me to get away if one of these players limped with a legitimate hand. You can raise to about $3k and get the same point across that you would if you were to go all-in, without risking all of your chips.

I would only push all-in with JJ+ in this situation.
Why push with AQ which will be dominated 50% of the time when you have 80 BBs to work with.
